I'm Crabby so,i go take a Nap i guess...
Btw nice pic. :}
Now, when you put such bad 2d wheels with painted brakes that rotate among them on a model, then the modeler had a lot of work for nothing.. building nice 3d rims takes time, too. I'm a bit sensitive to that, because I spend a LOT of time on my cars, but thats just my two cents. I reduced some conversion cars at times, too, e.g. removed some rows or unecessary polies here and there to balance them a bit. But when I build a car from scratch with a desired target poly count (usually 6000 for me) then I try to do my best to reach this. And sometimes that means rebuilding wheels 3 or 4 times until I find a proper way of minimizing polycount with maximum details. Now when you post pictures of cars with 2D wheels, I instantly ask myself, why do I even spend all the time for that on my own cars? I didn't build that Z4, but still, thats what I think.
It was absolutely not my intention to insult people here in the car modeling world. If this has happened, I'm sorry.

After reading Freak's comment I wondered how real cardesigners feel when people start modifying their creations.
