I have to tone my driving down to have long chases because mine tend to end too soon..The guy I'm chasing either crashes into something or I wind up pitting out his vehicle :D

Since YouTube has allowed longer length videos as they had in the past I'm trying to have some good long chases now..Here is some tips from a official police pursuit driving book I own..They'll help you get good longs chases:

    1. Don't get roo close to what you're chasing..Stay 1-3 cars lengths back and just let them make mistakes..You'll find you're having to slow down to avoid hitting them yourself XD.

    2. On turning you want to do a LATE APEX..The guy you're chasing is gonna do a EARLY APEX and turn way too soon.

    3. Know when to brake..Sliding everywhere and hitting stuff isn't gonna get you around curves any quicker.

I find it good that EA applied a realistic driving with fear engine to this game..Alot of games where you play as a cop and chase people give your opponent perfect handling and steering while you the player are stuck with shitty and hard to steer handling..They made that mistake with HotPursuit 2 on PC.

The physics engine of HS is sooo arcade it's hard to apply any driving rules. And the AI is at an advantage - they can swerve in a way no human being is capable of and their speed depends on AI charts only.

Nils: on hard tracks like RockyPass,RedRock Ridge, and The Summit yes..but on not so hard tracks like Empire City,HomeTown, Land Straße,Route Adnouf, and Kindiak Park you can try some..I noticed that keeping a 1-3 cars length distance works..Once the drivers has caused enough trouble then just PIT them..If you let them go too long they will still out run you XD. Of course if you have backup helping you and you're behind the other police cars..UGH..Throw all this out the window because the minute you get along side to pass them they try to ram into your vehicle..Seems your fellow officers got the dumbest AI sometimes. They also have a habbit of running all out with NO lights or siren on during some chases.
