This is from NFS Shift, the demo version.
It's the first NFS since UG2 (2004) to have a full replay mode. :)

Is the damage modeling in NFS Shift good? From this screen it hardly looks better than Forza.

The way the car damages is similar to HotPursuit2 were the hood and trunk bounces and stuff. It is also similar to High Stakes because every time you destroy it, it will always look the same. Unlike Grid, where there are infinite ways to damage your car. Shift's damage in my opinion is acceptable. But comparing it to something like Grid, this is where EA fails.

Yeah, but there is no "damaged texture file", like Midtown Madness 2. That would be awesome if it was possible.

    Or something like Burnout Paradise.
Honestly, I prefer High Stakes's damage to Hot Pursuit 2's... and the nice thing about HS is that while the damage will always look the same, you can make it yourself really easily.
