  Fetchfido did not claim to make this car though. It was converted from NFS3.

  As far as i can tell this has the exact same performance stats as the real Viper GTS-R and unlike the others it looks like a viper and not a box on wheels. I figured i wasnt the only one who wanted a Viper GTS-R that looked right so i converted it from eric arroyo's nfs3 one to high stakes.

  I have the need for speed high stakes and i have dowloaded this car but it wont show up on my game. Do i have to dowload something else to use them in the game, if so please tell me. My email is drkfish24@aol.com

  There isnt anything else to download. Maby the serial #'s are the same as a diffrent car.I know thats a problem in the carrer mode. does it just show a faint outline of the car thats colored a pinkish-purple? if it is then something wrong with the texture file

  yes you need to download the .zip file. if you cant extract it then you need the latest version of winzip or winace. winzip can be found at www.winzip.com ,click on 'download evaluation version' or winace at www.winace.com

  winzip is free forever enventhough it says evaluation version and winaceis also free but i didnt keep it long enough to find out how long. winzip didnt do a good job of makeing ppl pay for it, all it will do is tell you that the evaulation period is gone but you still get all the features.

  The car or winace? If your talking about the car then you need to create a folder in your nfs hs directory in the folder marked cars. If your talking about winace then it just needs to be a folder where you can remember it, most people reccomend the desktop or my documents. You also need to install the game with full or typical installation.

  To get this car up to 224 mph you need to do single race and go to car tuning and tune it for high speed and low grip, with racing tires. Other wise your lucky if it goes above 200 mph

  You need to find someone like JokienDesign or any other high quality car creater that. I only converted this car from nfs 3 to nfs 4 and somehow i got lucky with this one because its the only one thats worked correctly after conversion.

  I hope the admins dont mind my saying so but if you got to nfscars.com you can probly find a car that you want already made. If i cant find a car i want here i can 80% of the time find it there.

  What happens? does it close the game with some type of error or does the car name show up in the list but just a faint outline in the window where you can customise the car? If its the second one I'll do some experimenting and try to figure it out. If its the first question then you probly need nfs wizard to change the serial #'s.

  Hmmmm. If you havent got NFSWizard then get it and open the car.viv file and then the fedata.eng file. Make sure that in the Data tab its got a name, something like Viper GTS-R and you may need to change the serial # in the Genral tab. I've got it set to 48.

  If that doesnt work then you could try to get JokienDesign or Martin Leps to help you. I dont know if they help people or not but they know a lot more about they way NFSHS works then I do and would know better how to help.

  I just thought of a really simple question. When you installed NFSHS which installition type did you choose? only 'full' or 'typical' will work with addon cars. Also, if you have gotten the latest 2-3 online patches from EA then you need to download V4.43 because it forces the game to read the cars off the CD like the installition 'minimum' does.

  OPPS :) V4.43 lets the game read from the file in you computer and the latest 2-3 patches forces the game to read off the CD.

  download it and install and then the car(s) should work you download it by clicking on the 'download' button and choose 'open' on the pop up window you could choose save but it may be too confusing for you because you'd have to remember where it saved to

  Did you make a new folder in your C:/Program Files/Need for speed high stakes/data/cars" folder? Need to extract the car.viv file to that folder.
