I remember this car! I d/led this sucker wayyyyyyy back, when I had this all-Mopar replacement thing happening. A solid effort, but the engine sounds like a turbine, not a 426 Hemi or a 440.

Still the best and most detailed Challenger to this very day. Thank You Smokey for uploading your car again! I really like the fact that it is a rag top!!!! Now how 'bout that Daytona version 2.0 !!!! That was another perfect car!!!!

Still pretty good considering, it was made intirely in Carcad without blueprints or any fancy tools. These days anyone seems to be able to create great cars...
Race the one you find best!

I would say the modeling on Jokinens car is better, but the texture work on this car is better.

Besides - This was made atleast 2 years previously from the release of Jokinen's Verion.

I dont wanna get off on a rant here, but the nfs Car Modeling scene has become a group of Self Rightous Personalities. Im not talking about anyone imparticular but almost everyone really. I know I was this way, maybe I still am but ide gladly admit it. Everyone is looking for the most credit, apprecieation, and Praise/Respect.

Hey I built a 20,000 Poly car, and i got 2 comments here.... am i criing about it? No...

I just pick up my tools and live to model another day

(hence the reason why im working Very Hard on a 1932 Ford 5 Window Coupe right now)

Also, I think alot of the modelers these days are too Critical of other peoples cars while not as critical on there own.... all in an effort to bag the other car modeler, and make your car appear better. Wether it really is or not.

(Sorry Jokinen, i just have to qoute you here (I dont mean to pick on you))

    But to say

"smokeys car didnt looked real challenger at all."

about someones model is the mark of a craving to make oneself look better than the rest. From What I see, Smokey's Challenger is Just as accurate, tho maybe a bit less detailed than Jokinens.

Personally i beleive most people around here including myself are hotheads, and most of us are looking for top popularity around here.

Of course thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

(BTW: I respect both Jokinen and Smokey as much as Ide like them to respect me. I didnt mean to pick on anyone here, just to explain in a philisophical manner what i beleive is going on.

Both of you made nice cars and thats that.

Smokey's Challenger is not very detailed but it looks accurate because of good textures and the way polygons are placed. Jokinen's car has lots of polygons but it looks too wide and too boxy even though it's detailed.

I think Tom Egelkraut was one of the first modellers who made cars from scratch.... but that was for NFS3.

This one looks almost identical to the Challenger in 2Fast 2Furious except for the fact that it's a convertible and the engine just doesn't have that tone. You should do a 2F2F version. Great car though.
