NFS:HS Workshop / Re: Dashviews

Hmm..the mirror still doesn't give rearview. It's a complete copy of an EA part including the TGA texture.Any thoughts?

In case you are referring to the reflections, the original EA mirrors dont give an actual rear-view either. The normals of them are just manipulated so that you could see a larger part of the chrome map.

Final polycount is 4332. I was suprised by myself.
Anyway; you can drive full grid :)

I hope I can release it soon but at the moment I've got some trouble with the fedata-files. Even if the fedata in the viv shows the correct data, it is incorrect ingame. Shown as class B Toyota Aygo ingame :(

Make sure that there is no serial conflict like XJ220 said. Also, make sure that the car name and class are the same in all fedata files. Then it should be fine.

I have been waiting long for that car in a proper quality. I was jumping up and down in excitement back when EA released the addon, so this is pretty fucking awesome ;) The Lister Storm is an absolutely uniquely styled car, and more important: popup headlights 8D
Keep up the good work ;)

I would like to have white rims. but I rly like the toyota-rims i got and new ones are too expensive. I got those used rims for about 250 €. I think that's already a lot.
What about painting them white?

Again, all I can say is, my respect for your developmnents! Nobody, really nobody would have expected this even ~8 years ago when the HS scene was fully alive. Props to you ;)

There's one thing I'm wondering about, is it possible to shade animated objects?

[qoute]Need for Speed High Stakes has been on my PC(s) almost continuously since January 2000, the longest time that it was absent was somewhere in 2008, after a re-install. My computer just feels naked without it. [/qoute]

I have my HS copy ever since NFS 4 was released, so May '99 or something, the longest time I've been absent was when my Windows ME machine (that my dad cared for way back then) refused to let it work.. that was about a year.
But yeah, I totally agree with you, NFS 4 is an essential part of a system setup to me ;)

Works excellent, Jim! About the v-road data, as this information moves AI and traffic lines (just tested that) as much as the starter field points, is there a possibility to divide those lines to e.g. make them pass a big obsticle on different sides?

Edit: I just looked into the lines again, so dark red says where the middle is, and EA moved that around tunnel divisors etc., then there's those bright blue lines which I assume mark the traffic lanes for left and right, is that so? It would be really awesome if you find a way to allow to move them sepperately. Maybe even using the same undo method with partial exceptions, that works acceptable.
Why? One word: Autobahn.

Projects / Porsche 924 Turbo
« on: February 17, 2012, 01:13:06 AM »

The Porsche 924 turbo was the second evolutionary step for the 924. Still having the 2.0 liter cylinder block, but a different cylinder head, boost pipes and a turbocharger, it reached up to 177 hp in the second, more stable version.
The 924 turbo was the base for the 924 Carrera GT and GTS, having only a turbocharger and not an aircooler added to it. The 924 turbo's first version with 7 hp less was produced for only two years, from 1979 to 1980, the second version was produced from 1981 to 1982.
Still being a quite exclusive car, the 924 turbo just has to go to NFS4 - so here's our latest project! Have a look:

The pics show, of course, just a beta version, with some untextured parts, the final result will take some more time.
The 931 will have a nice feature, since it could be ordered with several bicolor schemes aswell, we wanted to include them. However, there were two different layouts.. but we managed to include both of them - here's a preview:

NFS:HS Support / SP/EP, Glide and Windows Seven
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:50:51 PM »
As some people might have experienced, if you try using the StockPack or ExpansionPack and Glide Wrapper under NFS 4, the loading cursor will always appear on a static position and doesnt want to go away. The solution is very simple.

Set the compatibility mode setting for the nfshs.exe to Vista SP2, apply, start it, and you'll see: cursor gone.

Why is that so? Well, a guess by mine, many other programs such as ICQ and MSN Messenger wont minimize to the tray area on Win 7 anymore; microsoft seems to have disabled some function for it. The nfshs.exe from the SP should minimize to it after starting, but doesnt - making the cursor hang onscreen. Setting the comp.mode to Vista will solve that on many other programs, too.
